What We Do
We work in partnership with church leadership to determine project feasibility, budget, and timeline. We lead all aspects of the fundraising campaign for the solar project.
- secure bids from solar companies
- write grants
- produce campaign promotional materials
- work with church to identify prospects (key donors, endowment funds, grants)
- point person between the church and the solar company
- targeted outreach to external donors with demonstrated interest in supporting faith communities and climate action

Projects

Installed in December 2025, the project cost after federal and LES incentives was $21,468. The StarsSky led campaign has raised $35,000 to date.
Mount Zion Baptist Church
Thirty panels comprising a 13.5 kW system will supply 43% of church’s annual electricity needs.
Estimated annual cost savings on electric bill is $1,500 with a payback period of 14 years, 3 months.
